Someone just ruined my copy of The God Delusion :(

Postby Rome Existed » Mon Oct 26, 2009 8:46 am

Bought it yesterday.

Today I was walking home from work, it's raining and some evolutionary throwback swerved into a puddle and splashed water all over me. My bag wasn't watertight and the book is pretty ruined. :whine:

The first 40 pages were really good too. :arghhh:

Riot in the streets and threaten to behead those motorists who damage the unholy book! :arghhh:

Here in the states, anything thrown up by a motor vehicle is considered a road hazard and the driver cannot be held responsible. Perhaps next time don't walk so close to puddles of water where vehicles can splash you.. ;)

Too bad about the book though, if you lived nearby I'd lend you my copy.

Doesn't that surely prove to you the everlasting love and mercy of God? It could have been a bolt of lightning. Be sure to give thanks on Sunday. (If you aren't busy.)

Surely god could've prevented the book from even being printed.

He subcontracted the job to a mud puddle.

Buy another or get one at the library and follow the advice of stay away from puddles :)

If it happens again, definitely then it is "god" :)

I actually have a 2nd copy... but I'm hanging on to it for now, I'm afraid.
This product is a work in progress.

Do not go around saying that a coincidental event is surely an act of god. I is just that a coincidence, by saying everything bad that happens to anyone who is atheist or agnostic you make it look like you are simply desperate for something to use to support you.

My car cd player will not release one of my "The God delusion" audio book CD's !!!!
