Give blood against Jehovah's Witnesses' Dogma

Some may have noticed in my signature that I have this pledge to give blood. So far I have 26 signatures, but need another 24 to reach the target of 50.

For me this is one of the worst aspect of religion. There is no reason to accept this stone age idea that blood is sacred and allow a child to die for want of a transfusion, especially when they do not accept slavery as a concept that is allowed in the bible.

I am hopeful that this target will be reached. So if anyone has not seen the pledge yet, or would like to support or help spread the word please do!

I'm gonna be giving some blood soon anyway. Only this time it's not just the right thing to do, but I also get to stick it to the Witnesses. "It's a double whammy!"

I tried to give blood, but it was found to have to much alcohol content.

Didn't you get the memo, Homo economicus? God has invented the much more efficient Blood Salvage machine. Far better than slopping around blood willy nilly! I suppose we'll have to wait for the portable miniature model BSM for immediate use in those quick-blood-loss street accidents.

If only He could've invented a way of not bleeding in the first place......

Already gave blood yesterday at the annual work blood drive.. So I guess you can sign me up. Funny thing is my supervisor is a Jehovah's Witness.

Not sure about things is US - Here in Oz - the debate's been had and done - whole blood will given regardless of religion if a life is to be saved.
